Hinato:
Daughter and heiress to the Hy¨±ga clan, Hinata is a terminally shy and soft-spoken, yet tough and resolute, Ch¨±nin-level taijutsu user, from Kurenai Yuhi's Team 8. As a member of the Hy¨±ga clan, she possesses the Byakugan, and specializes in the J¨±ken, or "Gentle Fist", fighting style. This means that her field of vision is almost 360¡ã and she is able to damage her opponent's chakra circulatory system and inner organs directly with even a slight tap. Since she is the main house's elder child, Hinata is supposed to be the heir to the clan; however, because her father deemed her a lost cause in her early teens - apparently of even lesser skill than her younger sister, Hanabi, and not even comparable to her cousin Neji - and thus he left her in the care of Kurenai Yuhi when she became Hinata's sensei, stating, "Do what you want with her. She is of no use to me."
In the beginning, Hinata lacks self-confidence and gives up easily. But gradually, she starts to try and change herself, staying at the training grounds longer than anyone else and working hard to improve her skills. She finds inspiration in Naruto, her academy student crush, whose constant determination and confidence she admires. Hinata's strong affections for Naruto seem to be a rather glaring exception, as no other introduced girl of around Naruto's age has displayed anything of the sort for him.
Humans are separated by differences they are born with but I want to believe that people can change and wanted to express that. Hinata's theme is 'by believing in yourself, you can become a new person.'
Sakura:
In the beginning of the series, Sakura is a Genin-level student of Kakashi Hatake's. Sakura's main strengths are her intelligence and her great chakra control. She was able to climb trees using her chakra on her first try while it took several days of constant training for Sasuke and Naruto to manage it. Initially, Sakura's stamina and overall talent were quite below average, having had only used a few skills over the course of the series, the most advanced of which is Kai ("Cancel", for dispelling genjutsu).
Inside Sakura resides the "Inner Sakura", which ridiculously seems to be much more mean-tempered than Naruto's Kyubi. Inner Sakura seems to represent an assertive part of her personality and mostly serves as comic relief. Sakura's typical gentle responses are juxtaposed with the Inner Sakura's constant ¤·¤ã©`¤ó¤Ê¤í©` (Shannaro), which doesn't mean anything but is usually translated as "Hell yeah", "Hell no", or "Damn it", depending on the situation (in English, it's translated as an angry and forceful "Cha!"). Inner Sakura is often attributed to being Sakura's defining ability, aside from her chakra control, much like Sasuke's Sharingan or Naruto's Kyubi. Inner Sakura actually exists as a separate spirit within Sakura, which came in handy during her battle with Ino. When Ino hit Sakura with her Mind Body Switch Technique, she only suppressed the regular Sakura. As such, Inner Sakura, after a little prodding by Naruto, was able to emerge and force Ino to leave. Ino's lack of chakra also helped Sakura to resist. After this point, Inner Sakura only appears once in chapter 250 of the manga when Naruto tries to refuse a mission assigned by Tsunade. Sakura, however, does occasionally exhibit traits that would have originally have been confined to Inner Sakura, though they are rarely seen (they become more frequent after the timeskip, a sign that Sakura is becoming more comfortable with herself and is showing her true nature more often).
Ino:
Ino Yamanaka was a genin assigned to Asuma Sarutobi's Team 10. She is a skilled kunoichi and with her teammates, Shikamaru Nara and Choji Akimichi, they make up the 2nd-generation Ino-Shika-Cho Trio. At first, it seemed as though Ino disliked both Shikamaru and Ch¨ji (Shikamaru for being dull and unpopular and Choji for being fat), but she actually holds a strong bond with both of them. Ino is the daughter of Yamanaka Inoichi and part of the Yamanaka family, who owns a small flower shop in Konoha. Part of her bond with her teammates might come from her father as he was teammates and good friends with the fathers of Shikamaru and Ch¨ji. At her graduation she was known as a high-level female rookie. She is talented in the way of the flower (Ikebana) as well as mind-altering jutsu. She is the friendly rival of Sakura Haruno.
TenTen:
Originally a Genin level ninja who graduated the academy a year before Naruto did and now a Ch¨±nin, Tenten is a student of Might Guy together with Rock Lee and Hy¨±ga Neji. Not much is known about her techniques, other than that they involve the mastery of weaponry--Tenten is an expert in the use of melee armaments (such as the three sectional staff in the anime) and summons these special melee weapons from scrolls when needed. She also uses what may be chakra strings to control and guide the direction of her weapons. However, this technique is useless against opponents who use wind attacks, as seen in her short and arguably pointless attacks against Temari.
Tenten feels very strongly about both her teammates, especially idolizing Neji, and could be seen staring with pride at Lee during his training with Guy at one occasion. She is often seen sparring with Neji, often to help him train his Hakkesh¨ Kaiten (Eight Trigram Palms Heavenly Spin).
Her goal as a kunoichi is to be as great as Tsunade, one of the legendary Sannin, and she trains hard to achieve her dream. She is considered one of the best female ninja in the village. Tenten also strongly believes that female ninjas are just as good as male ninjas.
Temari:
Temari is the oldest child and only daughter of the Fourth Kazekage, as well as being teammate and older sister to Gaara and Kankur¨. She carries a giant, iron fan on her back, which she uses as a powerful ninja tool; she specializes in long-range combat, and has demonstrated herself to be a keen analyst, though not of the same caliber as Nara Shikamaru.
Temari is generally caring, if crude, toward her siblings and cohorts, but has a tendency to be quite cruel to her opponents in battle. She is more demonstrative with her feelings than Kankur¨ when dealing with Gaara and somewhat less afraid of him. Shikamaru, after witnessing her fighting style secondhand, has stated that she is more terrifying than his own mother.
Temari fights using her fan. Her fan has three purple circles inscribed on it, which she calls "moons" ("stars" in the original Japanese), and each moon revealed increases her fan's power greatly. She usually starts fighting with it closed, and then opens it up, revealing each moon one by one until the third is shown. Finally, she will finish her opponent using her main jutsu, Kamaitachi no Jutsu (Cutting Whirlwind Technique).
Temari mainly uses her fan to create a large wind gust to cut her opponents apart or force them back. She can also create whirlwinds and tornadoes. She also uses it as a powerful thrusting weapon or as a makeshift club, and has knocked her opponents unconscious simply by slamming the fan into their bodies, as in her fight against Nara Shikamaru. She may use the fan to glide around, probably a showing off to frighten her opponents.
Tsunade:
The granddaughter of the First Hokage, grandniece of the Second Hokage, and the kunoichi of the three Legendary Three Ninja (»Õh¤ÎÈýÈÌ, Densetsu no Sannin) who is now also known as the Fifth Hokage (Îå´úÄ¿»ðÓ°, Godaime Hokage). Tsunade is a medic ninja as well as a "slug tamer". It should be noted that Tsunade is the first female Hokage and the first female kage seen.
Kurenai:
Kurenai Yuhi is the one in charge of Genin Team 8 (which consists of Kiba Inuzuka, Shino Aburame and Hinata Hyuga). Relatively little is known about her, only that she has just recently become a J¨nin. She cares a lot for her students and develops a strong bond with them. When she saw that Hinata was in danger of being killed by her cousin Neji, she, along with several other J¨nin present, stopped the fight.
While she has a close bond with all three of her students, she seems to especially favor Hinata. Kurenai knows of the pain and hardship of what is expected of Hinata; as she went to go see Hinata's father, Hiashi Hyuga. She told him that Hinata was now under her care and asked him if it was okay because Hinata was the heiress and could face death on missions. She was surprised and pained for Hinata because of what her father coldly said. Upon leaving, Kurenai noticed that Hinata was there and overheard everything. She is also somewhat aware of her student's tremendous infatuation with Naruto. She doesn't seem to be against it, which could mean she doesn't hate Naruto.
There are hints dropped throughout the series of romantic involvement with her fellow J¨nin Asuma Sarutobi. They seem to spend a lot of time together and enjoy each other's company. During the Return of Itachi arc, she blushed when Kakashi suggested a connection.
During her and Asuma's brief battle with Itachi Uchiha and Kisame Hoshigaki, she used Magen: Jubaku Satsu (Demonic Illusion: Tree Bind Death), against Itachi. However, it was easily countered by his Sharingan.
She finally makes an appearance in Chapter 313 of the Naruto II arc where it is likely that she has been training Shino, Kiba, and Hinata hard and well. It would explain why Shino, Kiba and Hinata were able to pass the Ch¨±nin Exam during Naruto's absence.
Shizune:
A talented medic-nin, Shizune was the apprentice of Tsunade, and is now her attendant, and left Konoha with her after her uncle Dan died. She is currently a medical nin in Konoha and led the regeneration of Hy¨±ga Neji using Chikatsu Saisei no Jutsu (Healing Resuscitation Regeneration Technique).
Shizune is quite close to Tsunade, one of the few people Tsunade will trust with absolute certainty and a fairly talented and capable ninja in her own right. Unlike Tsunade, she is level headed, practical, and a rational thinker. As a result, she is the one who tends to stress over details like Tsunade's tendency to gamble and think with her heart. Shizune also looks after Tonton, Tsunade's pet pig. When Tsunade became the Hokage, Shizune became more of an assistant to her while also going on missions to help with the lack of man-power after the Sound/Sand Invasion.
